Jimbo’s Bingo was created to allow me and my friends to play bingo over our weekly zoom calls. I tried to use some other sites which led to me send screenshots of bingo card images to to my friends directly who then would save and mark in edit mode on their phones! Not a great experience at all and too much work for me! I decided to create a simple android bingo app that would randomly draw the balls and give me the calls and also a web bingo card that could be accessed from their phones. Since it has worked well for us, i decided to invest a bit more time and share it. I hope it helps you play bingo with your friends/colleagues I will continue to add to resource section over time.
Hosting a Bingo Night
Having a virtual bingo night with your friends or colleague as part of an online social, work event or a charity fundraiser is relatively easy. This is how you can set it up. Decide who will do the Bingo caller role. Before the game begins, the bingo caller will let participants know the patterns required to win each prize. There may be multiple winning patterns. You can find some sample game ideas here. The Bingo caller generates the numbers and calls them to the players. In order to be the caller you must have an android device and download the Jimbo’s Bingo app from the Google play store. Open the App and click the button labeled ‘Bingo Caller’. How to play 75 Ball Bingo In 75 Ball bingo, numbers are randomly chosen from a drum and announced by the Bingo caller. The objective of the game is to complete a pattern on the card. The Bingo caller can decide what pattern will win the games. The basic pattern is a line either across, down or diagonal on the card. However, it is possible to have longer games requiring all numbers (full house), a diagonal cross (both diagonals lines) or a cross (the line through the middle across and down lines). Another common winning pattern is the four corners. The game could also have multiple winning patterns that could be a combination of some of the patterns above.
